The Chaetomorpha algae is one of the best types of algae you can have in your tanks. It removes both nitrates and phosphates. We try  It comes in a ball of long filamentous strands and looks a lot like a ball of tangled fishing line. It also creates great habitat for copepods and amphipods. Normally they come with some bugs from our well established tanks. Chaetomorpha will do best in a high light, high flow area. Most of our customers put it in their refugium for filtration purposes.
When you order one of our chaeto clusters it is stuffed in a 4 inch bag that is at least 6 inches in length. We try to aquaculture it as much as possible.

Algae arrived healthy, but the most amazing thing was what was living inside! It was full of tiny tube worms, pods, and bivalves to name a few. I’m watching my refugium now as much as my display tank lol!
