Description
These pink tip anemones, Condylactis sp, are imported from Haiti. They often have very bright orange or red bases with light brown or white tenticles. The pink tips in Florida are currently closed for collection until fall of 2015.
Like most shallow water corals and anemones, they harbor symbiotic algae in their tissues and actually derive most of their nutritional requirements from the algae, thus they are considered photosynthetic. They can and should also be fed some sort of supplemental solid food, such as bits of fish, shrimp, clams, or squid, and my wife feeds the one in our home tank standard marine pellet food, so they aren’t picky.

They’re gorgeous…aggressive? Can be until they find their spot in the tank. Very healthy when they arrived. No pest. Full of life and once acclimated, dipped and found their home….a joy to watch.
Thanks KP! Ordered three will order three more…love them.
