Description

This is a mated pair of Neon Goby, Gobiosoma oceanops. They are primarily either caught in Florida, or cultured in Florida.  These are wild, net caught specimens, which have been held in our system for at least two weeks and are eating frozen brine shrimp and small pellet foods.  Neon Goby are widely known for their parasite cleaning activities and once in your tank they will set up a cleaning station and attempt to clean ectoparasites off the larger fish. They are compatible with almost all other fish and invertebrates, and for some reason are not eaten by the majority of predator fish.  They will readily eat most commercial fish foods and are very easy to keep. Our Neon Goby are about 1″ to 1.5″ when we ship them and they can reach a maximum size of around 2″.

Neon Gobies can get territorial when kept in a small aquarium without enough hiding spaces. Only a pair of Neon Gobies will get along in a small aquarium.
